What is a CT?
- An CT is a medical imaging test that combines specialized X-ray equipment with computers to produce multiple cross-sectional images (or “slices”) of the body. It provides much more detail than a standard X- ray and is used to view bones, organs, and soft tissues
Before Your Procedure
- Some CTs need to be done within a certain timeframe for surgical planning. Our team will schedule according to your surgeons guidelines
- If your insurance requires authorization, our team will obtain it. We also offer options for discounted cash pay scans.
Day of Procedure
- You may be asked to change into a gown/shorts
- There are no eating/drinking restrictions
- If you are being medicated for your scan, you must arrive 45 minutes early for your appointment with a driver
Following the Procedure
- Images are available immediately for your provider to review
- Reports are typically available within 48 hours
