What to expect with your upcoming procedure

What is a CT? 

  • An CT is a medical imaging test that combines specialized X-ray equipment with computers to produce multiple cross-sectional images (or “slices”) of the body. It provides much more detail than a standard X- ray and is used to view bones, organs, and soft tissues

Before Your Procedure 

  • Some CTs need to be done within a certain timeframe for surgical planning. Our team will schedule according to your surgeons guidelines
  • If your insurance requires authorization, our team will obtain it. We also offer options for discounted cash pay scans.

Day of Procedure 

  • You may be asked to change into a gown/shorts
  • There are no eating/drinking restrictions
  • If you are being medicated for your scan, you must arrive 45 minutes early for your appointment with a driver

Following the Procedure

  • Images are available immediately for your provider to review
  • Reports are typically available within 48 hours
